Palm Toft to miss King’s Lynn Stars play-off decider against Poole
King’s Lynn Stars have been dealt a blow ahead of Wednesday night’s crucial play-off final decider against Poole.
The Stars have confirmed that Michael Palm Toft, such a key figure in the Stars’ rise to the top of the Premiership table, suffered a broken wrist in Monday’s play-off final first leg clash at Wimborne Road.
Kyle Howarth has been drafted in for the second leg of the final, with the Stars looking to overcome a 16-point deficit as they bid to be crowned champions for the first time in their history.
It is the second injury blow inside a matter of days after Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen was ruled out of both final meetings after a crash in Poland on Sunday.
After the club announced the news on Twitter, team boss Dale Allitt posted a rallying message.
“C’mon guys don’t give up on us. We haven’t. We need the fans and the noise more than ever tomorrow now.”
