The Lady Taverners Norfolk schools girls competitions have been held at the UEA Sportspark in Norwich, with a significant increase in the overall numbers taking part.
In the under-15s the outcome was decided by the fourth ball of the final over with Old Buckenham High successfully chasing a Norwich School total of 90-5 with four wickets remaining, with Broadland High third.
The U13 event was dominated by a strong Norwich School team who won all their five matches to retain the trophy which they won last year. Runners-up were Flegg High, with newcomers Wymondham College finishing third.
Kevin Denmark, Norfolk Cricket Board development officer, said: 'The overall standard was unbelievably high this year and we were overwhelmed to receive 16 entries in the under-15s and 12 in the under-13s which reflects all the good work currently going on in the county to promote and grow women and girls cricket.'
