Anthony Ogogo is looking to kickstart 2014 by fighting on the undercard of Matchroom's Mersey Beat bill on March 15.

The 25-year-old revealed in his EDP column, which starts tomorrow, that after seeing two fights fall by the wayside so far this year, he expects to finally be back in the ring in Liverpool next month.

'It's been something of a frustrating start to the year for me as I have seen not one, but two, fights cancelled,' his column reveals. 'My flights were booked and I was ready to go to LA for a fight this month but unfortunately my opponent had to pull out with a rib injury. I then had another fight in the pipeline for March 1 but that also hit the buffers.

'The good news is that we're in negotiations for me to fight on the 'Mersey Beat' show in Liverpool on March 15 so that has really given my training a focus.'
