Horsford confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the NW Brown Norfolk Twenty20 competition on Tuesday evening when they beat Vauxhall Mallards by six wickets.

Mallards made a respectable 156-8 in their 20 overs, with Adam Todd making 33 not out and Nick Smith 32, but it was not enough.

With Chad Bowes (60) and Stephan Marillier (33) leading the way the hosts got home with the best part of four overs to spare, finishing on 157-4.

It was an excellent match for Bowes, who had early taken 2-29 to help restrict Mallards, who also progress to the last four following their earlier win over the Witches.

The final group match takes place on Thursday evening (6pm, admission free) with Swardeston taking on Norwich. It would take an emphatic Norwich win to prevent Swardeston and Brooke from progressing into the last four.

The semi-finals of the competition will take place on July 19 and August 2, with the final on August 10.
