Norwich United boss not interested in league table ahead of Thetford clash
In-form Norwich United will go top of the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division tonight, if they can get at least a point at home against Norfolk rivals Thetford Town.
The teams have already met this season, with the Planters winning 3-0 at Thetford in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
With United currently on a run of five successive league wins, Damian Hilton's side would appear to be clear favourites going into the game, but the Planters' boss is not getting ahead of himself.
'As far as league form goes, we're really pleased. Nine games and eight wins is very good,' Hilton said. 'We tend not to bother with the league table, we know we are there or thereabouts.
'We beat Thetford in the FA Cup so they will know what we are about and how we are playing, so we'll just take it one game at a time.'

Thetford have rediscovered some of their early season form recently, with Mark Scott's side winning 3-0 at home against Fakenham last Tuesday and drawing 3-3 with Gorleston at Mundford Road on Saturday.
Hilton added: 'Mark Scott seems to have got some young players who are very energetic, playing for each other and their results are showing that, so we know we have got to match that and then hopefully our little bits of quality can show through.'

Thetford have suffered an injury blow going into the game though, with midfielder Sam Bryant breaking his hand in the draw with Gorleston.
'Sam is quite an influential player for us but he is going to the hospital on Tuesday and I assume he will have his hand put in a plaster cast, but we wouldn't be playing him anyway,' Thetford boss Scott said.
'But our squad is big at the moment. James Dean is our top goalscorer (with five goals in 11 games) and he didn't even play on Saturday, he was on the bench, so we'll be looking for him to start.'
Another player set to be involved tonight is United's top goal-scorer Matt Blake, who used to play for Thetford and with 11 goals in 14 games, is in top form.
Scott added: 'You can go through the Norwich United squad and mention eight or nine really influential players at this level, none less so than a local lad for us, we gave him his break, in Matt Blake.
'I get on really well with him but I hope he had a bad game against us!'
There are no other Premier Division fixtures tonight, although Kirkley & Pakefield host AFC Sudbury in the Suffolk Primary Cup and Great Yarmouth host Swaffham in the First Division Knockout Cup.
