A fine performance by the Planters saw them sweep aside second-placed Bury Town at Plantation Park.

Shaun Wones opened the scoring in the 16th minute when he guided the ball home after his initial header from Cameron Norman's right wing cross had been blocked.

Jamie Speller doubled the lead in the 28th minute, striking a sweet shot into the bottom corner from just outside the area.

Bury improved after the break but they created few chances and Luke Read's speculative back heel hitting the underside of the crossbar was as close as they came.

Emmanuel Machaya sealed the points eight minutes from time, shooting home from an acute angle as Norwich moved up to fourth.
