Goals from Danny Bassett and Sol Patterson-Bohner either side of half-time saw Tooting & Micham United end Norwich United's first ever FA Trophy campaign at the first hurdle.
The Planters started brightly and Liam Jackson fired wide early on and the returning Jamie Speller shot over from distance.
The Terrors went close through Bassett who shot wide and it was Tooting who took the lead after 35 minutes when a ball from the right found its way to Bassett in space on the edge of the area. He proceeded to cut inside and curl the ball inside the far post.
In a frenetic finish to the first half, the Planters had chances to equalise with Jamie Speller, with a diving header which hit the crossbar, and Adam Hipperson being put clear but lobbing the bar. In between Billy Dunn for the visitors, saw his shot tipped onto the bar by Jake Hallett. After the break Shaun Wones' volley on the stretch from Hipperson's right wing cross also hit Matte Pierson's bar.
Patterson-Bohner sealed a deserved victory for the Terrors eight minutes from time with a glancing header when Quincy Rowe returned a deep corner from the right byline.
