The wintry weather didn't prevent 22 hardy souls from taking part in Reepham Runners' 10k cross country race yesterday.
First home was Stephen Gibbs of Norwich Road Runners in a time of 41 minutes and 16 seconds. It completed 100 miles in a week for Stephen as he prepares for the London Marathon.
Second was Paul Martin, also of Norwich Road Runners, in 47:30 while Chris Squirrel was third in 50:00 after travelling all the way from Ipswich to compete.
First woman home was Kim Reader of Wymondham AC in 57:11. Second was Carol Betts from Norfolk Gazelles (59:18) and third Jude Durrant of Reepham Runners (1:01:33).
The two-lap course, which took in parts of Marriot's Way as well as local lanes and fields, had a good covering of fresh snow which competitors found a decent surface to run on.
