Norwich hairdresser Ben Hawes was a cut above the rest in the Team Green Junior Cup and Senior 300 Kawasaki series at the British Motorcycle Racing Club meeting at Snetterton.
With four races over the weekend in the Senior class and starting from pole, Hawes took three wins and a second along with a lap record of 2mins 16.8secs in his third.
Hawes also had races in the Minitwin class on a Suzuki SV650, his first time on this bike and he took a fifth in one race and a DNF in the next.
David Tinkler, from Norwich, was leading his first race when the quick shifter broke, forcing him out and putting him at the back of the grid for his next race. Tinkler was not deterred and came through to take second, before adding two first places to his tally.
Other locals putting in winning rides were James Plummer and Jason Byard. Podiums also went to former British Superbike racer Peter Baker, Peter Cunningham and Hayden Platten.
