Wolves’ Dave Edwards - We are hurting following defeat to Norwich City

Wolves' current plight at the bottom of the table is hurting the players as much as the fans, according to Dave Edwards.

The Black Country side are four points from safety and have just eight games to stave off relegation.

'After going one-goal up, we really shot ourselves in the foot within a minute,' he said. 'We let ourselves down really and then to concede a goal just before half-time like we have done in the last few weeks is just not good enough on our part. In crucial parts of the game there are turning points and they just don't go in our favour.

'We have got to look at ourselves as individuals and as a team. It does (really hurt). Obviously the fans came in their thousands and were brilliant.

'We try our best every week and sometimes the quality might not be there, but you can never kind of have a go at us for effort.'

Wolves host Bolton next weekend.
