Norwich City dumped Premier League side Everton out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night at Goodison Park to book their place in the last-16.
Steven Naismith scored against his old club in the first half before Josh Murphy sealed the famous victory for Alex Neil's squad with a stunning second in the 74th minute.
Only Robbie Brady survived from Saturday's 2-1 Championship win at Nottingham Forest in Neil's starting line-up with Nelson Oliveira made his debut following a summer move from Benfic.
Alex Neil said of his teams performance: 'The players who came in applied themselves extremely well.
'We had a certain manner that we felt would give us the best chance to win the game. We sat behind the ball and tried to make it difficult for them. 'We tried to hit on the counter and we managed to score two. It was a great performance because a lot of these have not played much football.'
City will now prepare to face Burton Albion at Carrow Road on Saturday.
