West Brom have announced they will be taking no further action against players involved in a dramatic bust-up following their draw against Cardiff City at the weekend.
The Baggies head for Carrow Road on Saturday, with a sold-out following of 2,500 travelling to support them in Norfolk as they try to pull away from the Premier League relegation zone.
However, fresh drama surrounds Pepe Mel's struggling side going into the game following national newspaper reports of a dressing room fight emerging.
West Brom had grabbed a 3-2 lead deep into injury-time of Saturday's clash with Cardiff through Thievy Bifouma, but the Bluebirds hit back in the 95th minute of the match through Mats Moller Daehli.
That goal came about after England Under-21 striker Saido Berahino tried to cross into the box instead of keeping possession of the ball, allowing Cardiff to clear the ball forward and grab the dramatic equaliser.
The goal kept West Brom just three points above the relegation zone and increased the importance of their clash with the Canaries.
But it has today been reported that Berahino suffered a head injury during angry dressing room arguments after the game.
West Midlands newspaper the Express and Star reported that Berahino suffered bruises in the incident and suggested sporting and technical Richard Garlick would hold talks truce talks today.
The newspaper's back-page story reported: 'The 20-year-old was involved in a verbal spat with several team-mates before a physical altercation took place between the Burundi-born striker and one other player.
'Team-mates stepped in to break up the scuffle but it is understood the atmosphere remained frosty when the squad returned to training with Berahino unhappy that the club did not take firmer action against the unnamed player involved in the incident.
'Later on Saturday, Berahino tweeted: 'Apologies for my mistake, cost the team the three points.'
'Club sources today insisted that details of the incident leaked this morning to a national newspaper had been exaggerated and played down claims that chief executive Mark Jenkins had been summoned to the dressing room to deal with the incident.'
West Brom have now released a statement about the incident, as the club prepare for this weekend's big match at Carrow Road, which would see the Baggies move above the Canaries if they won.
A club spokesman said: 'Tensions were understandably running high in the dressing room after Cardiff's late equaliser, but the incident has been sensationalised in the media.
'What happened is not uncommon in a dressing room and shows that the players care.
'The players involved have apologised. The club has drawn a line under the matter and is now fully focussing on Saturday's important game at Norwich.'
