City completed their Championship campaign at Hillsborough, falling 4-0 behind before a late Timm Klose strike provided some respite, only for Adthe Nuhiu to complete his hat-trick with a penalty in injury-time.
The defeat was overshadowed by a worrying knee injury for Canaries star James Maddison though, limping off in the 11th minute to be replaced by Ivo Pinto.
City's player-of-the-season winner then emerged on crutches at full-time to thanks the travelling supporters for their efforts, leaving his expected big-money summer sale in the balance.
The defeat saw Daniel Farke's team slip two places to 14 in the final standings, the club's lowest league finish since the Championship relegation campaign of 2009.
Fixtures for next season will be released on Thursday, June 21, ahead of the next Championship campaign beginning on Saturday, August 4.
