Cameron Jerome scored the crucial goal but City's defence also coped admirably with an aerial bombardment from the hosts, with new loan signing Mitchell Dijks in the thick of the action at left-back.
Despite Dijks' impressive debut, I've chosen centre-back Timm Klose as my man of the match, following a display of power and determination.
The Swiss international repelled everything that came his way and seemed to be the designated defender to deal with Aron Gunnarsson's dangerous long throws – which helped Iceland knock England out of Euro 2016 last summer.
Klose had struggled with the rough and tumble of the Championship early in the season but this was a performance that proved he has learned his lessons, to allow his true class to shine through.
