Russell Martin is confident the Championship pacesetters are not getting away from Norwich City.
The Canaries have slipped from top of the table in mid-October to sitting 10th, eight points behind leaders Derby with a run of just one win in nine matches.
Chairman Alan Bowkett and chief executive David McNally ensured the target of automatic promotion was repeated at regular intervals in front of manager Neil Adams and the City shareholders during Tuesday night's lively AGM.
And Martin believes City's previous Championship promotion proves that aim is still on track.
'Are teams getting away? No, I think it's still too early for that to be honest,' said Martin.
'I can't remember it exactly, the last time we went up, but we weren't really anywhere near it and chasing until the final three months really. So there's a long way to go. If we're putting in performances like Saturday and we cut out the mistakes, then we will be more than fine.
'Obviously ideally you do want to keep in touch with the leaders. Derby won at the weekend most of the other results went pretty well for us so we'll concentrate on ourselves.
