Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has urged his players not to forget their own attacking capabilities when they face in-form Swansea City this afternoon.

The Welsh club are five places and four points better off than the Canaries ahead of today's Premier League game at the Liberty Stadium (3pm), and successive victories over West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal have extended their unbeaten run to six league games and thrust Michael Laudrup's team into the national spotlight.

But with City having to come from behind in three of their last four away games to take a point, Hughton is anxious they do not start off on the back foot and concede too much ground to a Swansea side confident in possession.

He said: 'I've been very impressed with Swansea, not only the run that they are on but the style of football that they are playing. I thought they were very good last season and I think they've added a little bit.

'They've brought in probably some four, five or six players that have done very well in the team and I think Michael has used his experience in particularly the Spanish markets. He knows them very well.

'They've all hit the ground running, particularly Michu, who is scoring goals at a very good rate for them. They are playing an exciting brand of football and particularly in the games that we've watched of late they have thoroughly deserved to win.'

But Hughton believes City's own run of eight league games without defeat should make them unwelcome visitors.

'We have to make sure that we are going there with a threat ourselves,' he said. 'We are on the back of two away games where we have finished very strongly and both times we deserved to get something from the game.

'So we mustn't have a fear of going there even with the form they are in and the quality in possession they have.

'It will be a very tough game, we know that, and I think they are playing as well as any team in the country. That is the challenge for us but we are on a very good run ourselves

'Ultimately we want to go there and get a result and it is for us to determine the best way to get a result. If we are soaking up too much pressure for too much of the game then we will make life very, very difficult for ourselves.

'If you go behind too often sometimes you don't get that one back.'

With goalkeeper John Ruddy (thigh) and defender Michael Turner (shoulder) absent, City look set to be unchanged after the 2-1 win over Sunderland. Turner is set to train on Monday but is unlikely to be fit for Tuesday's Capital One Cup quarter-final at home to Aston Villa.

Laudrup will not rush Michel Vorm and Pablo Hernandez back into his starting line-up. Goalkeeper Vorm is back in training following a groin injury but is not ready to return to first-team action, while winger Hernandez is still struggling with a thigh problem. But Wayne Routledge looks set return from an ankle injury.
