Ahead of Norwich City's trip to the City Ground, Nottingham Forest fan Nic Weir is feeling optimistic about his club's prospects.

What have you made of Forest's start to the season?

It's been a total change to last season for sure, on the pitch that is, from quite a rigid, defensive team to watch we have turned into an expansive free-scoring team. Unfortunately boardroom issues leave a grey cloud over the club.

Has Philippe Montanier had an obvious impact yet?

Most definitely, he has in a short space of time stamped his vision on the squad. The style of play is a world away from last season and he has moved on players who needed moving on.

How much of a relief was it to keep Britt Assombalonga?

Massive relief keeping Britt, pictured right, he is a unique type of centre-forward, who is proven at this level. I wasn't surprised he stayed as I didn't think a club would risk £9-10million on a player who is still coming back to full fitness. You may be spared his threat today however!

Are you excited or worried by the signing of Nicklas Bendtner?

Oh the Lord!! Whether he is good or bad it will be entertaining and we miss this in football today I feel, the characters, so as a fan it's a win-win situation. He looked sharp in his 25 minutes on Wednesday.

Did fans approve of the club's summer transfer business?

We were shocked in the speed of Oliver Burke's sale, however it was good money we just couldn't turn down. I, as many fans, wanted a stellar replacement, a £5-7m signing, but it didn't happen. With the signing of Lord Bendtner this appeased us on a whole. We are a club laden with history but the fact of the matter is we are a selling club who has been out of the Premier League a long, long time.

Is a push for a play-off place looking possible?

Today will give me either excitement, if we win, or a reality check, if we lose. We have strength in our squad something crucial in this tough campaign, but our team has the belief we will score every game, with that type of belief anything is possible.

Who will be your key players this season?

Henri Lansbury – I know Norwich fans love him, and so do I, for me he is a complete modern day midfielder. Technically very good, very fit, great at pressing, chips in with 7-10 goals, a baller as they say nowadays!

Do you think Norwich will gain promotion this season?

At the start of the season you were my pick to win it, you have the set-up in place, and I thought a better bond than say Newcastle, but unfortunately for the rest of us they seem to have gelled quite quickly!! Norwich are nailed on top six for sure, I guess it's the lucky decisions etc which gets you second or the lottery of the play-offs.

Which of the City players will Forest fans be most wary of?

I would love Nelson Oliveria to play just for the sake of Lord Nelson v THE LORD! Oliveria is a great buy, would have loved him back at Forest, a rounded centre-forward. Doubt it will happen so obviously young gun Jacob Murphy is on fire at present, and one to watch.

And finally, what is your score prediction?

Well we cant defend but can score, so I'll curse us all and say 0-0 is out of the equation!! 3-2 Forest win.
