Brighton & Hove Albion Supporters' Club vice-chairman Liz Costa takes a look at this afternoon's game against Norwich City.

What has been the key to Brighton's good start to the season?

For many years the Albion have threatened to start well, then drop off mid-season and pick up in the last third! Seems we could be heading in the same direction again, although team spirit is definitely better this year and no one player has rocked the boat. This does help continuity.

Chris Hughton wasn't too popular with Norwich fans – how is he viewed by the Seagulls support?

We have been told by Norwich fans of their attitude towards Chris with what was deemed to be negative tactics and for sure we have had cause to 'worry' a bit towards the end of a match when a perceived victory changed to a draw or worse. He seems to have curbed that a bit and is liked and respected by fans and players alike.

Has he brought a defensive style to the team?

Not really. Most of the players have enough brains to work out what is needed and act accordingly, in spite of possible instructions that they may have received!

Who have been your key players so far this season?

Hard to pick out individuals, although our Captain Courageous, Bruno Saltor, at the age of 36 (going on 26) has played in the last 60-plus matches consecutively and does not appear to be flagging! Our defence includes Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk and they have been awesome so far this season. Glenn Murray and Anthony Knockhaert are both priceless in attack.

Has much changed from last season?

Very little. We went into the last game of last season on the same points as both Burnley and Middlesbrough and only missed out on goal difference! Two more goals would have seen us into the Premier League.

Were you pleased with the club's transfer business during the summer?

Most of our business was done in advance of the panic weeks – Chris knew who he wanted and waited on their availability. We are not necessarily cash-strapped, but our chairman and owner does not throw away his money unnecessarily.

Do you think Brighton will be challenging Norwich and Newcastle for automatic promotion?

Why not? We are currently sitting comfortably and aim to stay that way.

Which Norwich players will Brighton be most wary of?

To be fair, Norwich like Brighton have not acquired an abundance of prima donnas – not necessarily household names outside their own catchment area which, in my opinion, is how it should be. Therefore, not too sure about Norwich lads, other than that Wes Hoolahan and Cameron Jerome are headliners most weeks, and of course Alex Pritchard who could have been ours!

And finally, what is your prediction for the game?

Never predict a result as I always get it wrong. Let's just say 'may the best team win'!
