Norwich City's new manager Chris Hughton has pledged it will be evolution rather than revolution as he bids to build on the strong Premier League foundations laid by predecessor Paul Lambert.

'I think everybody appreciated the job he did here and I think it's a hard act to follow - but it's about the challenge,' he said. 'It's about making progress at the club, it's about stability in this division and with every new manager a new player to work with is a challenge. Any decisions or areas I feel I need to strengthen I will have my own thoughts, but it's also about learning about the squad and sometimes you can be surprised.

'It's a different voice that's coming in, a different look that's coming in. I know what the players have achieved over the last few seasons and I know the strengths they have and it will be my job over a period of time, to assess what I've got and where we can strengthen.'
