Player ratings for both Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur following their Premier League clash.

• Norwich City

7 John Ruddy: Much quieter shift than on his previous visit to London. Unsighted for Mousa Dembele's goal.

7 Russell Martin: Agonisingly denied by the woodwork with a close range header. Superb job of subduing Spurs' wide boys.

7 Leon Barnett: Come back in from the cold and looks more assured each passing week alongside his new partner.

7 Sebastien Bassong: Caught out by Jermain Defoe just once after the break on the edge of his penalty box. Aerially dominant.

7 Javier Garrido: Aaron Lennon had the upper hand from kick off, but the Spanish defender intelligently redressed the balance.

8 Robert Snodgrass: Potent delivery from set pieces. Denied by Brad Friedel before the break. Cool finish late on.

8 Bradley Johnson: Broke up play at will in the first period. Defensively aware. Auxiliary attacking option. Complete package.

7 Jonny Howson: Will know himself a heavy initial touch played a part in Spurs' opener. Quality foil for his central midfield pal.

7 Anthony Pilkington: Carved out a wonderful chance for Robert Snodgrass first half. Then the cross for Norwich's equaliser.

7 Grant Holt: Got Norwich up the pitch when Tottenham did enjoy spells of possession. Key assist for the late leveller.

7 Simeon Jackson: Carried on where he left off at QPR. Never gave Tottenham's centre backs a minute's rest

Subs: Steve Morison (for Jackson) 6

• Tottenham Hotspur

9 Brad Friedel: Quite simply, without the American Norwich would have claimed all three points. Trio of fantastic saves.

6 Kyle Walker: Best work in the opening spells. Clearly frustrated at times by the lack of movement further forward.

6 Jan Vertonghen: Doubt he will have faced too many continental strikers of Grant Holt's ilk. Looked very uncomfortable in first half.

6 William Gallas: Tested by the pace and muscularity of Norwich's front two.

6 Benoit Assou-Ekotto: Fortunate to escape punishment for a late tangle inside his own box with Steve Morison.

5 Sandro: Withdrawn at the interval due to an apparent injury concern. Was not missed.

5 Jake Livermore: On the fringes of England set-up. Difficult to see why on this display.

6 Aaron Lennon: No faulting the work rate. Bright start but faded – much like his side. Teed up Mousa Dembl for the opener.

6 Gylfi Sigurdsson: One or two decent pieces of link up play. Fleeting influence given his prodigious talent.

6 Gareth Bale: One fearsome second half strike aside looked a pale imitation of the man who tormented at Carrow Road.

6 Jermain Defoe: isolated figure before the interval. Benefited from Emmanuel Adebayor's arrival.

Subs: Mousa Dembl (for Sandro) 7, Emmanuel Adebayor (for Sigurdsson) 6, Tom Huddlestone (for Defoe) 4
