Timm Klose has a new favourite moment in a yellow shirt, as Norwich City found a new way to leave Ipswich Town crushed at Carrow Road.

The centre-back's majestic leap to head home Grant Hanley's stunning cross in the fifth minute of injury time punctured a Town balloon that only took flight in the 89th minute, as Blues skipper Luke Chambers appeared to finally end the visitors' East Anglian derby drought.

But with victory beckoning, the visitors had to stomach a 10th successive failure to beat their Norfolk rivals.

'That ranks very high – probably number one now,' smiled Klose. 'It was so emotional, especially in a derby when you're 1-0 behind and with the last kick of the game you equalise, it's indescribable.

'To be fair, in the end it feels like a win. I know it's horrible that we didn't go in the lead earlier in the game, but sometimes you have to take a point and see where it takes you.'

For now, where their derby point takes Norwich is to one defeat in 11 matches in all competitions – built on a back three that has kept a tight ship, even during a difficult first half on Sunday.

'The back three at the moment, we have an understanding that is pretty good,' said Klose. 'We know exactly what the other lad is going to do. Zimbo (Christoph Zimmermann) is doing a great job when you consider the league he was coming from.

'And then there's Grant Hanley – a guy who just runs through people sometimes, which is a great thing. You have to have those players as well; those aggressive leaders.

'It's nice to have a player like him in the team because we can't have only the beautiful players. We need some ugly players as well.

'I've had to learn as well. I think I was a beautiful player before I came to the Championship and I had to adapt to it, and now I'm maybe half and half!

'You know exactly what is going to come, especially against teams like Ipswich, Bolton, Millwall. I know it's not the best football but it's Championship football. It gets them points and they are good at it, so why should they change it? We just need to deal with it. It's how the Championship works.

'This gives us confidence, especially when you come back after a late equaliser. It could give us that push we need for the next games to come.

'Wolves (away on Wednesday) is going to be an unbelievably hard game because we know how good they are and the great season they've had so far.

'But we have nothing to lose and we want to deal with the best teams in the league and show them we are also a good team. So we'll see what we are all about after those games.'
