Tim Krul believes Norwich City's promising early form is just the start of something memorable at Carrow Road.
The former Newcastle and Netherlands' goalkeeper was a free agent from Brighton and although there have been testing moments early on for City's first-team stopper, there is no denying the positive form that saw City claim their eighth win in 10 games against Brentford on Saturday.
Now the question will be for how long Norwich can maintain their current high standards.
'We didn't make it easy for ourselves but we can be really proud with another win, nine points from this difficult week with three difficult games on paper, and we've done amazingly to walk away with another win,' said Krul.
'Sometimes you have to win ugly and we should've made it a lot easier, but we can't be too greedy at the moment.
'We are on an amazing run, the commitment is there and the boys are working for each other – so it's nice to be part of something. We're building something special.
'Everyone will speak about the great goal scored by Emi (Buendía) but him tracking back and helping the defence out – that's definitely the ingredient we've had lately.
'From Jordan (Rhodes) or (Teemu) Pukki up front, all the way to the back, we're really working hard for each other.
'You're only going to win games if you are all 100pc committed and going forward is always easy, but it's the dirty work where we are doing really well at the moment.'
Rhodes' saved penalty on the stroke of half-time didn't prove costly – although the striker will miss City's next Championship outing, at the loanee's parent club Sheffield Wednesday next weekend.
City got a bit of luck against Brentford too with Neal Maupay – the Championship's leading scorer – spurning as good a chance as any he'll have had so far this season.
'I thought it was going in, especially that striker – Maupay is a top goalscorer,' added Krul. 'At the start of the season that would've gone in and everyone would've been saying we could and should've won. Now we're walking away.
'In three months' time people will look at this game, see we've won 1-0 and that will be it.
'That's what I said to Jordan. He scored twice on Tuesday, nobody is going to remember that penalty now. We won 1-0, we go again and you can win the game for us next week… although he's not playing!'
