Mark Bowen, Rob Newman, and John Polston each wore the captain’s armband during their Norwich careers and played vital roles during the club’s run to the third round of the UEFA Cup in 1993.

The trio sit in the top 40 of the club’s all-time appearances list and will be introduced to the crowd before Sunday’s East Anglian derby at Carrow Road.

The match against Inter Forever, supported by the club’s community partner Aviva, takes place on Sunday, May 20 (2pm KO) and will mark 25 years since Mike Walker’s team made their mark in Europe with a run that included victory over Bayern Munich.

The latest additions to the Norwich squad join their former team-mates Bryan Gunn and Chris Sutton, as well as other club legends Iwan Roberts, Grant Holt, Adam Drury, and Darren Huckerby, for the match, which will raise funds for the Community Sports Foundation’s new hub The Nest.
