In shelling out a reported £7m fee for Yanic Wildschut fans can't accuse the City board of going down the cheap route - an accusation so often levelled at the Canaries hierarchy.
Norwich did lose a quality player in Robbie Brady, who joined Burnley for £11m but in bringing in Wildschut they have replaced the Republic of Ireland international with a player who sees Norwich as a real step up.
Throw in Mitchell Dijks to the equation after the Ajax man completed his loan deal and suddenly that left hand side has a dynamic feel to it in spite of Martin Olsson's departure for Swansea earlier in the window.
Sergi Canos' exit to Brentford was expected but the Canaries recouped the £2.5m fee they gave Liverpool in the summer for the Spaniard.
