With news of Alex Tettey's future at Norwich City expected soon, we want to know if you would like the combative midfielder to stay with the Canaries?

The former Norway international made 23 Championship appearances for the Canaries this season, proving an important player either side of almost three months out injured with a calf injury picked up in late September.

Tettey, who turned 32 last month, initially had to force his way into Daniel Farke's team but after returning from injury in December it soon became clear that he offered a defensive option City were lacking in midfield.

However, the former Rosenborg and Rennes midfielder is out of contract this summer and the Canaries are unlikely to be able to afford to maintain his wages, after six seasons with the club, three of which were in the Premier League.

Norwich are understood to have offered the popular midfielder a two-year contract but have also said they want the issue sorted soon as plans for next season's squad are made.

Tettey has made 177 appearances since joining from French club Rennes for a fee believed to be around £3million in 2012, placing the Ghana-born battler 83rd in the club's all-time appearances list.

With young midielder Ben Godfrey expected to compete for a defensive midfield role next season after a successful loan in League One with Shrewsbury, and Louis Thompson also hoping to return in pre-season after a long-term Achilles injury, Tettey could potential play a key role as an experienced mentor.
