Alex Tettey and Todd Cantwell are fit to return for Norwich City against Wigan tomorrow, as head coach Daniel Farke delivered a positive injury bulletin ahead of the Championship clash.

The midfielders were both left out of the Carabao Cup victory at Wycombe on Tuesday, a 4-3 win in the third round, to ensure they were ready for Saturday's Carrow Road clash with the Latics – as Farke's side chase a fifth win on the spin.

'Alex Tettey had a slightly swollen knee and quite obviously there was lots of load for him in the games, especially in the week before, but he is available tomorrow,' Farke said.

'Todd was struggling with a dead leg after the QPR game and for that we didn't want to take any risk at Wycombe but he has also been back in team training since Wednesday and is available for tomorrow.'

Ben Marshall has recovered from illness but is playing for City's under-23s this afternoon to step up his recovery after losing weight due to a stomach bug.

The summer signing has missed five games but plays in the Premier League Two fixture against Manchester United, as does out-of-favour striker Nelson Oliveira – having scored twice for the U23s in a 2-1 win over Newcaste at Colney last Friday.

'With Ben he was out for 10 or 11 days because of illness,' Farke continued. 'In general for the long-term picture he wasn't involved in the last one or two games before the international break, then there were obviously two weeks without a game.

'Then he was ill for 12 days so that means he was out in the last weeks as well, so it's six weeks without a game, so for that we got the feeling that there is no need to change our game day squad too much and for him it's important to get some minutes, for him to be fully fit like we did with Ivo Pinto last week.'

Kenny McLean (knee) and Onel Hernandez (hernia) are still not ready to return, with Scotland international McLean having missed six weeks.

Cuban winger Hernandez is making good progress after minor surgery and could return to tram training next week though.

'Kenny is still not in team training but Onel is making good progress in his rehab and I hope to have him back in the middle or the end of next week,' City's boss concluded.

'So not for this game but perhaps he could be an option for Stoke if everything works. It would be good to have him back before the next international break but we will have to see from day to day.

'He was able to do some running stuff, which was good, some interval running at 70 or 80 percent right now, so he has to reach his high speed and work a bit on his change of direction.

'Then hopefully the ball is also pretty soon involved and if this is all okay then hopefully pretty soon he can return.'

Longer terms injury victims Carlton Morris and Matt Jarvis (both knee) are the other injury concerns.
