Deadline day signing Harry Kane is aiming to make his mark at Carrow Road with Premier League goals.

The 19-year-old striker completed a season-long loan move from Tottenham on Friday's transfer deadline day – the Canaries needed to be granted an extension of the 11pm watershed to ensure the deal could be done.

The youngster spent the second half of last season impressing on loan in the Championship at Millwall and will hook up with his new Norwich team-mates for the first time today.

'Friday was a long old night and I'm glad to get the deal done and obviously it's a great opportunity for me,' said Kane, who scored seven goals in 22 second tier appearances at The Den last season – winning the club's young player of the year award in the process.

'It was one of those that was a bit up and down. One minute I was going and then the next minute I thought I wasn't, but that's deadline day I guess. I got the call at about half nine to say it was going to be pushed through so I got myself down to the training ground and got it done.'

Kane already has his Premier League debut this season, coming on as a substitute for the final four minutes of Spurs' 2-1 opening day defeat at Newcastle.

'l'll be looking to score as many goals as I can for Norwich,' added Kane. 'That's what I've done and that's how I have built up my career until now, by scoring goals. Hopefully now I can take that into the Premier League.

'It's another step up for me. I had a spell at Millwall last season and did well in the Championship, but this is the next progression. Hopefully I can move on and improve the way I did there last season.

'I want to be playing games and hopefully I can do that now and score goals for Norwich in the Premier League.

'I'm looking forward to working under Chris Hughton. He's obviously got a great connection with Spurs and it should be a great time for me under his management. I'm looking forward to it.

'I want to make the most of my time here and move on as a player. I'll look to head up to Norwich on Sunday and meet up with the lads for training on Monday.'
