Norwich City duo Russell Martin and Steven Whittaker have been included in the Scotland squad for upcoming games against Qatar and a Euro2016 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland that could pitch them up against Canaries' team mate Wes Hoolahan.

Gordon Strachan named a 26-man squad on Monday morning for the friendly against Qatar on Friday, June 5 at Hibs' Easter Road before travelling to Dublin for the crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland on June 13.

Hoolahan last week was named in Martin O'Neil's provisional squad with all three facing a hectic end to the season with Norwich now preparing for next week's Championship play-off final against Middlesbrough at Wembley.

Ipswich defender Christophe Berra, who was red-carded in Saturday's 3-1 semi-final, second leg win for the Canaries at Carrow Road, is also in the Scotland squad which includes former Canaries' keeper David Marshall.
