Norwich City are reportedly unwilling to take no for an answer with a fresh attempt to prise Wolves Benik Afobe out of the Championship strugglers.

The Sun claim on Monday morning City will go as high as £12m to finally lure Afobe to Norfolk in the January transfer window, after failing with three separate enquiries for the highly-rated former Arsenal prospect in the summer.

The 22-year-old scored his 10th of the season in Wolves' 4-1 Championship defeat at Sheffield Wednesday but has found first team opportunities limited in recent times.

Alex Neil is in the market for striking reinforcements and has already been heavily linked with Utrecht's Sebastien Haller and Sampdoria's Eder ahead of next month's window.

City made enquiries in the region of £10m for Afobe prior to their Premier League return, but with Wanderers languishing in the lower reaches of the table and owner Steve Morgan putting the club up for sale, Kenny Jackett's outfit may now be prepared to cash in on their prized asset.
