Norwich City have reportedly been given permission to open talks with Coventry City's young hot shot Callum Wilson over a proposed transfer.
The Coventry Evening Telegraph claim City and Championship rivals Bournemouth have both made bids for the 22-year-old, who had an impressive first full season for the Sky Blues in League One where he scored 22 goals.
City chief Neil Adams has already brought in Lewis Grabban and Kyle Lafferty this summer but the Norwich boss has made it clear bolstering his frontline remains a key priority for the Championship season ahead.
The CET report on Thursday afternoon Wilson and his representative are understood to be in discussions with the two clubs after Coventry received bids in the region of £3m from both Norwich and the Cherries.
Bournemouth have already had two previous offers rejected for Wilson, who has also been touted in the past with a move to Wolves. The Cherries banked £3m for Grabban and are also in line for an estimated £6m as part of the deal that took Adam Lallana to Liverpool from Southampton.
