The links involving Norwich City went into overdrive yesterday, starting at Hull.

Fresh from claiming City's Mattia Destro interest earlier this month, the Daily Mail put Nikica Jelavic as their next option – having previously 'considered' Dwight Gayle and Charlie Austin.

The national paper even goes as far as to say Jelavic would fit City's budget – because the Tigers are looking to shift Jelavic's impressively high £55,000 per week wages.

The Mirror joined in the fun by suggesting former Stoke and Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi could be brought back to the Premier League via Carrow Road. Assaidi joined Al Ahli in Dubai in January but is apparently keen on a return to England.

Meanwhile, reported centre-back target Kalidou Koulibaly won't be joining City, Southampton or anyone else according to his agent Bruno Satin. He told Tuttomercatoweb: 'I read the English papers too and they can write whatever they want, but there is absolutely no chance.

'His contract is not running down, he is a Napoli player with a long-term deal and has no reason to leave.'
