Norwich City's reported transfer target Dieumerci Mbokani will not be allowed to leave Dynamo Kiev until his old club Anderlecht receive the final part of their orginal transfer fee, amid fresh reports in the Ukraine on Tuesday morning the Belgians had sent a delegation to Kiev to thrash out terms.

The powerful frontman was touted with a potential Carrow Road switch over the weekend, with speculation of a £4.3m enquiry from the Premier League new boys.

Belgian newspaper, Nieuwsblad, however reported Anderlecht President Roger Vanden Stock was in the process of reaching agreement with his Kiev counterpart, Igor Surkis, for a final pay-off that runs to 'a few hundred thousand' dollars following Mbokani's transfer in 2013. Recent payments had reportedly been disrupted due to the on-going political instability in the region.

Voetbal24.be had earlier in the day reported Vanden Stock was in Kiev to potentially seek a return for the 29-year-old striker, which would appear well wide of the mark.

Mbokani is not part of the Kiev squad who travelled to Austria to begin their pre-season preparations as he looks to plot his next career move.

The 29-year-old is a DR Congo team mate of City's new midfielder, Youssouf Mulumbu, and scored three goals in 13 appearances for the Ukrainian side last season following a previous club spell at Anderlecht, where he plundered 34 goals in 53.

City's striker quest has also seen them touted with a move for Crystal Palace's experienced forward Glenn Murray. The Mirror report Murray could be available for £5m after seven goals in a productive end of last season for the Eagles following a loan stint at Reading, where he played against the Canaries.

Bournemouth is another club who could offer Murray the chance to continue his career in the Premier League.
