Our Canaries correspondents Michael Bailey, Paddy Davitt and David Freezer were on hand to break the team news and get the post-match verdict from City head coach Daniel Farke, his opposite number Antonio Conte, as well as delivering their own analysis following the Canaries' creditable goalless draw.

There were few chances but Norwich can now look forward to a midweek third-round replay at Stamford Bridge later this month.

Meanwhile Chelsea rounded off their busy festive programme with a 2-2 draw at fellow London Premier League rivals Arsenal.

With City's festive fixtures done, they return to league action with a tricky trip to high-flying Bristol City next weekend (Saturday, 3pm) before a highly anticipated rematch with Chris Wilder and Sheffield United at Carrow Road the following Saturday.
