Javier Garrido enjoyed three seasons at Real Sociedad in La Liga, playing 86 games and scoring one goal.
On 2 August 2007 the left-back joined Manchester City in a �1.5m deal on a four-year contract.
Garrido's first season in the Premier League saw Manchester City finishing ninth and qualifying for the UEFA Cup through fairplay.
The Spanish Under-21 international scored his first goal for Manchester City with a free-kick against Liverpool in October 2008 but only appeared 13 times in the 2008-09 Premier League season.
Garrido made only nine league appearances in the 2009-10 season and on 30 July 2010 he joined Lazio for �2.75m as a replacement for Aleksandar Kolarov.
