Drawing away to play-off hopefuls Preston North End may have been a decent Championship point for Norwich City but fans were left frustrated to see their team fail to offer a goal threat at Deepdale.

Former Canaries keeper Declan Rudd was barely tested as the Canaries struggled to get their passing game going but did enough to take a point and keep their first clean sheet in nine games.

Paul Gallagher hit the bar in the first half and Jamal Lewis made a fine goal-saving tackle to deny substitute Josh Harrop after the break, with Billy Bodin also missing a golden chance as North End pushed for the winner.

However, City held firm to take a point which moved them up to 13th and above Ipswich in the table, who were thrashed 4-0 at home by high-flying Aston Villa.

Daniel Farke's team return to action next Saturday when they play their final Carrow Road game of the season, against Leeds, who are above them in the standings on goal difference.
