Superlatives continue to be thrown in the direction of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez following his annihilation of Norwich City last night - but was his performance the best ever against the Canaries?

The Uruguayan striker set a new record of being the only player to score three hat-tricks against one club in the Premier League and took his total against Norwich to 11 goals in five games.

His majestic hat-trick took his total for the season to 13 goals in 10 matches and led to Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers saying: 'Everything about him is just world class. If you look at the world-class performers at the top of the game their numbers are just exceptional and that is the level he is at.'

Of course Canaries supporters knew what to expect from Suarez, who is one of the 23 players on the shortlist for FIFA's Ballon d'Or world player of the year award.

But was it the best solo performance ever against a Norwich City side?

Or can you remember another performance to rival the one-man Suarez show during City's 5-1 defeat at Anfield?

Norwich boss Chris Hughton hailed Suarez as 'a world class player' after the game and Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen described the striker's performance as 'a masterclass'.
