Poll: Grant Holt was our Norwich City Man of the Match v Chelsea - who was yours?
Grant Holt certainly likes his trips to this part of London. Last season at Stamford Bridge he opened his Premier League goal account with a hooked finish back over his head to draw City level. Here his first away league goal of the fresh campaign briefly put the Canaries in front.
On both occasions, Chelsea ran out comfortable winners, but Holt's shift ensured John Terry and David Luiz had to remain vigilant when City did sporadically counter. Terry looked to dominate aerially but Holt's movement in the opposition penalty area still carved out two clear-cut headed chances either side of the interval.
Opportunities that a man reknown for his own aerial abillity may feel should have added to his own personal tally. Holt has the nous and the intelligence to trouble opposition defences in that tough lone frontman role. His finishing remains as sharp as ever; witness the way he created space to rifle past Petr Cech.
For those questioning his appetite, it may also be worth noting Holt was the nearest man to Eden Hazard deep inside his own penalty area in a valiant effort to try and prevent Chelsea's sweeping third goal.
Holt lost marker Terry but could not direct Bradley Johnson's deep cross on target before a glancing effort from the same provider dropped a yard wide after the interval.
