Our Norwich City correspondent Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries' 3-1 win at Preston.

City fans have been voting since the final whistle and this is Paddy's verdict.

• John Ruddy

City came under pressure after conceding in the second half but big man was still not pressed into major service. 7.0

• Ivo Pinto

Good on the front foot in the first half with Preston sitting far too deep. 7.0

• Russell Martin

Let Jordan Hugill escape at the far post late on but went unpunished. 7.0

• Ryan Bennett

Better after recent struggles, albeit squared up once by Aiden McGeady who lashed a shot into the side netting. 7.0

• Mitchell Dijks

Reliable. Good balance down the left with Josh Murphy. Underlined by his overlap for the second City goal. 7.0

• Jonny Howson

Allowed Spurr to get a free header to Paul Gallagher's free kick. Tested Maxwell with a stinging drive. 7.0

• Graham Dorrans

Good to see him back after a terrible run with injuries. Deflected strike opened the scoring. Prominent with City on the front foot. 7.0

• Josh Murphy

Pivotal role in the second goal. Injected pace and direct thrust on the counter throughout. 7.5

• Alex Pritchard

Linked the play for both Norwich's first half goals. Should have notched himself when he struck Chris Maxwell's legs. 7.0

• Steven Naismith

Set the ball back for Graham Dorrans' goal. Absolutely vital block at the far post as Preston threatened an equaliser. 7.5

• Cameron Jerome

Acrobatic bicycle kick straight at Maxwell. Nuisance value was key to Murphy's goal. 7.0

City substitutes

• James Maddison 7.0

Not a bad way to mark your Championship league debut.
