Norwich boss Paul Lambert is back on Aston Villa's radar after red-hot bookmakers' favourite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last night reportedly pulled out of the running to replace Alex McLeish at Villa Park.
The Birmingham Mail is today reporting the 39-year-old Norwegian has opted to stay at Molde for personal reasons. Lambert reacted angrily when questioned on the continued speculation over his own future following Adam Drury's testimonial game against Celtic at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.
However, Solskjaer's decision to remain in his homeland following talks with Villa chairman Randy Lerner and chief excecutive Paul Faulkner last week has seen Lambert's odds inevitably clipped as the bookmakers react to the latest twist in the Villa managerial saga.
