Transfer target Ola Toivonen may be on his long awaited vacation – but the striker has admitted he is going to use the time to open talks with Norwich City over a possible move to the Premier League.
City and Toivonen's current club PSV Eindhoven reportedly agreed a £4.7m fee for the 26-year-old forward last week.
The Sweden international has been determined to take time over deciding about his future, given he is at loggerheads with PSV over signing a new deal to stay beyond the end of next season.
'It never hurts to listen,' Toivonen told Voetbal International. 'It's the Premier League, which is a great competition. I'll talk and then we will see what comes out.'
Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel and the permanent signing of Lazio left-back Javier Garrido represent Norwich's close-season transfer business to date. The transfer window reopens on July 1.
