Norwich City fans watching today's crucial Portman Road play off match at venues in the city appeared confident their team would emerge victorious following next week's home match.
Ahead of the match, fans watching the away play-off match on TV at Carrow Road said they thought their team would be promoted.
Season ticket holder Adam Barker predicted a 1-2 victory at Portman Road, followed by a 3-2 win in next week's return match in Norwich.
Vivien Bodereau said: 'I think we are going to win. I would be happy if we win it. I came here for the atmosphere, and to be with the home fans.'
Martyn Broom, who arrived just before kick-off with three friends, correctly predicted there would be a draw today, and forecast a 2-1 Norwich victory next Saturday.
He thought Norwich would then secure promotion at Wembley on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Murderers on Timberhill had a busy afternoon, with fans watching the match on the big screen.
Ashley Smith said the atmosphere had started off edgy, because it was a derby match, but thought everyone was happy with the outcome.
Jordan Youngs said: 'It was a spiffing game. Maybe 1-1 was a fair result, but Norwich could have edged it.'
Mr Smith predicted a Norwich would win the return leg 2-0, while Mr Youngs thought the two teams would only be separated by penalties, with Norwich finally emerging the winner.
Both agreed City would face Middlesbrough at Wembley.
Matt Collins was watching the match at the same venue with his brother Chris, and Arsenal-supporting friend Sam Saddleton, and said: 'I'm happy. Ipswich are not going to come here and win. I'm happy that they did not win at their place. It was their game, but I think that after 60 minutes everyone settled for a draw.'
Although he is a Carrow Road season ticket holder, someone else will take his seat next Saturday because he will be at a stag party in London.
However, he said all 12 people on the trip were planning to put a £100 bet on Norwich winning the match, and progressing to the final.
He said his personal prediction was a 2-0 win in the second leg of the local derby.
