The Canaries have announced an opening pre-season friendly of the summer at Thurlow Nunn Premier Division One side Fakenham Town on Saturday July 13 (3pm).

City's development squad, along with some of their FA Youth Cup winning team, will take on the Ghosts in the first of four scheduled friendlies for some of the club's emerging talent. A City XI will also travel to Southern Premier Division St Neots the following weekend before matches at Ryman League Tooting & Mitcham on Wednesday July 24 (7.30pm) and former Wimbledon player Dean Holdsworth's Chelmsford City. The Conference South outfit will host the young Canaries on Saturday August 3 at Melbourne Stadium (3pm).

The latest friendlies are in addition to the club's plans for Chris Hughton's Premier League squad to tour America on a three-date tour along with away games at Brighton and Portuguese side Braga. Real Sociedad and Panathinaikos will visit Carrow Road in August as City put the final touches to their preparations for the opening day visit of Everton on August 17.
