There is more football at Carrow Road tonight, when Norwich City Under-23s return to action in the Premier League Cup.

The young Canaries must win to keep their slim hopes of progression to the knockout stages alive, having won one and drawn one of their four matches in Group D.

Drawing 0-0 with Portsmouth at Colney in September was followed by a 4-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park in November, thanks to goals from Louis McIntosh, Diallang Jaiyesimi, Todd Cantwell and Glenn Middleton.

However, a 4-3 loss at Wolves in December and 4-0 defeat at Portsmouth in January leaves City bottom of the group and needing to win their final two matches, starting against Everton at Carrow Road tonight (7pm).

The match is one of the last for U23s manager Dmitri Halajko before he joins an as yet unconfirmed Premier League academy at the end of the month, understood to be Leicester City.

Entry for spectators is free although fans who haven't already picked up a ticket are encouraged to arrive early to avoid queues, see www.canaries.co.uk for full details.
