Norwich City Under-23s are set to begin their league season with a home fixture against Newcastle United, to be played at Colney.

The Premier League have released the initial fixtures, which are subject to change, for the re-branded league. Previously named the Barclays U21 Premier League, from this season it will be known as Premier League Two.

City have been placed in the second tier and after taking on Newcastle will face Stoke City and Middlesbrough respectively at Carrow Road.

The new competition sees the age limit for players rise from U21s to U23s, enabling all players born after January 1, 1993 to participate.

Rules relating to over-age players remain the same, allowing a senior goalkeeper and three over-age outfield players in every match.
