Norwich City trio Russell Martin, Steven Whittaker and Robert Snodgrass have been named in Gordan Strachan's initial 25-man squad for friendlies against USA and Norway.
Martin and Snodgrass were key performers in the recent World Cup qualifying wins over Croatia and Macedonia with Whittaker also a regular in Strachan's Scottish set-up. The US travel to Hampden Park on November 15 with Scotland then making the short trip to Molde to face a Norweigan squad on November 19 minus City team mate Alex Tettey, who has been ruled out until the New Year after undergoing ankle ligament surgery last week.
Snodgrass missed the 7-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester City after suffering concussion in the previous Capital One Cup exit to Manhcester United but Canaries' chief Chris Hughton revealed after the loss at the Etihad he expects Snodgrass to be back in contention for this weekend's crucial televised game against West Ham.
