Middlesbrough have reportedly joined the race to sign Graham Dorrans.
The Norwich City midfielder has been linked with Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday this summer but Boro are also reportedly interested in the 30-year-old.
Middlesbrough, who are looking for a new manager this summer with Garry Monk and Derek McInnes among the frontrunners for the job, are looking to build a squad capable of bouncing back from Premier League relegation at the first opportunity.
They have identified Dorrans as the midfielder to underpin those efforts although the player could prefer a move to boyhood idols Rangers.
The Scottish giants had a £1m offer rejected earlier this summer and would need to up their offer for City to consider doing business.
The Canaries could be willing to let Dorrans leave with the club keen to reduce their wage bill. Steven Naismith has also been told he can leave if a suitable offer comes in whilst Jonny Howson is expected to depart after rejecting a new deal at Norwich.
