Jacob Murphy's stock continues to rise with Premier League title contenders Liverpool the latest club linked with a January transfer raid on Norwich City.
The Mirror claim Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to beat Tottenham to the 21-year-old's signature and then loan him back to the Canaries for the rest of this Championship season.
Murphy has already been touted with Spurs, Everton and Southampton after an impressive start to the season that earned him a new long term Carrow Road deal until 2021.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly had him watched on numerous occasions this season and the City academy product's seven goals in 24 appearances would appear to have alerted potential Premier League suitors.
The youngster himself made it clear recently, after penning his new Norwich deal, he was not interested in chasing a big-money move to the Premier League at this stage of his young career.
Both Jez Moxey and Alex Neil reiterated again ahead of the New Year's Eve trip to Brentford that City will have to wheel and deal to improve their squad this month.
