The early off-season of transfer rumour and speculation is slipping smoothly into second gear, with Norwich City being linked to Saint Etienne midfielder Fabien Lemoine.

The Canaries have made an enquiry about the 29-year-old midfield battler, according to media reports in France and the Daily Mail, which also claims City could sell midfielder Graham Dorrans.

Lemoine was a regular as Saint Etienne finished sixth in Ligue Un last season, making 39 appearances, including in the Europa League – with that campaign coming to an end in the last 32 against Basel.

In total Lemoine has made 180 appearances, scoring five goals, since joining from Rennes in 2011 – where he was a team-mate of Canaries midfielder Alex Tettey.

Florian Fieschi, a football reporter for French newspaper Le Parisien, posted on Twitter earlier today that Lemoine will leave Saint Etienne this summer and is considering offers from Norwich and boyhood club Rennes.

The Mail takes the story further though by reporting that City are considering the sale of Graham Dorrans, claiming that Burnley, Middlesbrough and Rangers are all interested in the Scotland international.

Dorrans made 25 appearances for Alex Neil's side last season, with eight of those coming from the bench as the former West Brom man struggled to make his mark.

The 29-year-old only joined permanently last summer though, after helping the Canaries seal promotion via the Championship play-offs during an initial loan spell.

He signed a two-year deal and returned to the Scotland squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers against Poland and Gibraltar in October but has not been included by Gordon Strachan for upcoming friendlies against Italy and France, although City team-mates Russell Martin and Steven Naismith have been.
