Norwich City have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Scott Hogan.
The Scottish Sun newspaper claimed City are ready to splash out £8m for Hogan in the January transfer window.
Hogan has been in good form for Brentford – who are the visitors to Carrow Road this weekend – although Dean Smith's side sit 16th in the Championship table. Hogan has scored 11 goals – only behind the prolific Dwight Gayle of Newcastle.
Canaries boss Alex Neil has relied heavily on Cameron Jerome this season – and been rewarded with six goals in 16 starts – and while he paid £5m for Nelson Oliveira, the former Benfica man has seen little action.
Hogan stands just over 5ft 10in and while he is probably not going to trouble some of the Championship's burly defenders, his movement is highly-rated – and he has an eye for goal.
The 24-year-old is expected to be involved for Brentford at Carrow Road on Saturday.
