It was snow joke for Manchester United on a winter’s day at Norwich City
It’s a rarity at this level that Norwich City games are postponed because of the weather – but the Beast from the East is far from normal.
The bad weather has affected games up and own the country, including City’s scheduled trip to Barnsley.
There can be few arguments about that decision, but postponements don’t always go down quite as well, particularly when teams and their followers have made the journey to a game only to be told they will be watching nothing more thrilling than a few ground staff with shovels.
Remember City’s trip to Walsall in December, 2009? Those who got into the ground were greeted by the sight of braziers on the pitch... not surprisingly, it didn’t work.
Then again, City caused one of the great FA Cup upsets in 1959 when they beat Matt Busby’s Manchester United at a chilly Carrow Road. To jog a few memories, we dug into the archive to bring you City in the snow...
